This property is private, secluded and accessible, with lots of wildlife living and crossing throughout the year. It’s covered with aspen and ponderosa pine, which provides prime habitat for the elk, mule deer, and turkey. Evidence of the elk rubbing and gnawing the aspens is everywhere. There are open meadows and big beautiful rock formations that are fairly easy to access. The land is generally usable with great building locations throughout.
Borders 1000's of Acres of National Forest
San Isabel National forest borders the property on two fenced sides. The famous Bishops Castle and Lake Isabel Recreation Area are very near. Lake Isabel offers great summer fishing as well as ice fishing in the winter! Bring your ice hut, your fishing poles, your rifle and your camera! Oh, and don’t forget your snow machine! There will be occasion to use all of them eventually. Maybe start your building plans for that hunting cabin you’ve been dreaming about…. There’s a lot to see and do on this wild piece of Colorado high country.
