The ranch has 7 lakes and ponds, (the largest 7 acre lake shapes around the house for stunning views, great fishing, comfortable dock sitting/fishing and a swimming area). There are many connecting streams and over a mile of the South Fork of the Michigan river runs through it.. Both the house and apartment have spectacular views of the Craigs, Never Summer Mountain range and an eastern view of the Rocky Mountain National Forest.
The ranch is at 9,000 feet, located southwest of Gould, Colorado about 15 minutes away from the top of Poudre Canyon one of Colorado’s best hiking passes and Scenic Byway’s. It is 30 minutes from the town of Walden (the Moose viewing capital of the state), 1 hour and 10 minutes from Steamboat Springs (for extravagant skiing and shopping indulgences) and about 1 ½ hours from Fort Collins.
The price includes a new hanger in Walden for medium to large size jets and two suburban vehicles (rented at additional fees). Walden’s airport has a 5900 ft runway. Finally, the ranch has a full time ranch manager with a home at the entrance of the ranch (I mile away) for any assistance that guests may need.
The main house has four bedrooms (sleeps 10 ten) and five baths with a huge two story great room with fireplace, and gourmet kitchen. It also has a partially finished full basement with two additional bedrooms. It is completely furnished with modern western décor and the home has internet and cable. The apartment has two bedrooms each with private bath, kitchenette, family room, gas fireplaces, TV and internet.
Guests could choose to simply stay on the ranch for an amazing Western experience. Here there are miles of hiking trails and cobbled roads that wind around and through the ranch with gazebos and resting, whole log benches. The seven lakes and ponds were designed by Aquatic Alternatives with sustainable cold water fisheries and stocked with native McConaughey Trout (raised from eggs on the ranch), Rainbow Trout, as well as, Brown Trout who have entered the ranch via the river. In addition, there is over a mile of the North Fork of the Michigan River that winds through the ranch.
